About

Brandon Green, P.Ag., M.Sc.

Brandon grew up on the family grain/cow-calf farm in Western Manitoba and has over 30 years of experience in soil fertility, crop nutrition and agronomy, across the Prairies.


After graduation with his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Manitoba, Brandon worked as a Research Associate for the university and completed, part-time, his Master of Science in soil chemistry and fertility.


He worked as an Extension Agrologist in West-central Saskatchewan and then as the Provincial Soil Specialist in Regina, for Saskatchewan Agriculture and Food.


Brandon was with Enviro-Test Laboratories (now ALS Laboratories) as their Corporate Agronomist, then worked as the Chief Agrologist for a 10 location ag retail in Central Alberta.  Later he was the Territory Manager and then the Director of Sales & Marketing with NutriAg Ltd and NutriAg Western Canada Ltd.


Brandon joined Yara in 2014 as a Regional Sales Manager and recently started an ag consulting business working with farmers and industry.


Over the course of his career he also farmed part-time for 20 years, wrote dozens of reader-friendly bulletins and has given hundreds of talks to farmers and industry members.

Soil Sampling - Analysis Interpretation & Nutrient Recommendations - Blend Recommendations

For farmers within a 2-hour drive of Airdrie, Alberta, we take quality (24 core) GPS’d soil
samples to the 24” depth, interpret the laboratory analysis & make custom recommendations for each field’s target crop & yield

*   If you will be using a Canola  Blend, Wheat  Blend, Barley Blend, etc. across your farm, we can tell what that blend should be and its rate of application on each field to maximize yield & your fertilizer dollar

*   For farmers across the Prairies, we can interpret soil sample analysis results and make target crop & yield recommendations based on soil samples taken by someone else


*   For ag dealers within a 2-hour drive of Airdrie, Alberta, we can take 0-6”, 0-12”, 0-6 + 6-24”
or 0-12 + 12-24” soil samples with or without the cores being GPS’d, and drop the samples at your office to send to the lab of your choice
